Joined An August Blogging Challenge

Why Did I Start This Blog?

So, I started this blog because I wanted to work towards having a blog or website that I make money on that I own. So, I created the blog, posted one time, and then I ran right back to my shared revenue source of income. For those of you who do not know I right for a shared revenue website called Bubblews. While my end goal is to be able to rely on my own means and resourced for income, I cannot bring myself to stop using a platform for earning money when it is just so easy to use. I'm actually working towards being able to bring in $750/month on Bubblews. Considering every penny of the money I earn goes towards supporting my family as well as spoiling them I take advantage of every money making opportunity I have on the Internet.

That is really what this blog is about. There are so many earning opportunities out there. I feel like people who complain about not having enough money or not being able to make ends meet just are not trying hard enough. My family consists of me, my husband, and our son. My husband is technically the stay at home parent and I'm the bread winner if you want to put it that way. I make it my goal every month not to stop working until I earn enough money to keep the build paid and care for my family. Even if it means I miss out on a few hours of sleep or doing something fun. My family comes first and they always will.

Are You Up For a Challenge?

I decided I needed a little push to motivate myself to start creating content for my blog and really working towards creating something that I can be proud of. For that reason I decided to take mark in the August 2013 Blog Challenge that a friend of mine is hosting.

The point of the challenge is to post a blog post every day of the month. She actually has prompts for you to use and give a unique spin if you like. You are encouraged to make sure your posts are at least 100 words long. I'm actually going to be starting the challenge tomorrow. There are 22 prompts, so you can take the weekends off. The cool thing is those could also just be used for when you need a day off because you are doing something else. I'm a little late to the game. But, pretty excited to.

The first prompt is about a person you admire or look up to. A role model I guess. I do have one particular person that has always been my role model as well as just someone I looked up to in general. Guess you will have to come back tomorrow to see who that is.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Streak (or Momma Streak). I'm a stay at home mother of one and happily married. I've been a freelancer trying to make it on the Internet for a little over two years now. One thing I have learned is that it is making a full time income and paying your bills on the Internet is completely possible. I've also learned that a lot of people want to make a full income on the Internet, but they are not really sure how to do that or where to get started.

I used to be a huge advocate of shared revenue and residual income websites. I still visit them from time to time, but I do not visit them nearly as full force as I once did. I've started to see more and more writers branch off from shared revenue websites and start their own writing site. Some have started shared revenue websites of their own and others have just started a blog for their writing. Now, I think to myself. If they can do it, why can't I?

The purpose of Money with Momma Streak is for it to be a resource for individuals who are just starting out in the money making world that is the Internet. Naturally, there are a lot of scams on the Internet. But, there are also a lot of genuine ways to make money on the Internet as well. You just have to get out there and find them!

I can tell you first hand that I fully support my family from the Internet. While I am married, my husband does not work. So, my entire family relies on my ability to find ways to make money on the Internet. I can tell you it is not always the easiest thing in the world to accomplish. However, it is possible. Personally, I have to make roughly $1,000 a month on the Internet in order for us to be in a comfortable place in terms of bills. Some months are not as easy as others. But, making that kind of money in a month is not impossible. In fact, I know some people who turn around that kind of money in a week.

Keep in mind, at the moment I live in a tiny apartment, I have a junky old car, and we cannot really rush out and buy everything we want every month. But, I'm happy and I get to spend a lot of time with my son and my husband. For me, spending time with my family is what really matters.
